Trust Founder & Board
This is not a new thinking, but it’s a new concepts. 1993 The Greater Manchester Bengali Hindu Cultural Association was founded by Kishor Bhattacharjee & 2012 the non-profit making charitable trust is form by Kishor & Mou Bhattacharjee. Co-founder membere, Priyajoyti Das, Samaresh (Rakhu) Deb, Sandeep Sharma & Rishika Sharma. The Trust will have eight members Board of Management (Working Committee). Board’s Members of the Trust shall be the persons interested in the support of the objectives of the Trust. The Board shall govern the Trust and be responsible for the operational management of the Trust. The Trustees shall be bound by the Trust Deed and this Constitution. The Trustees shall serve automatically on the Board by virtue of being the persons responsible for the Trust as long as they remain members and Trustees.
Aims and Objectives
The aims of the trust are to have our own community centre & to promote, serve and benefit the inhabitants of Greater Manchester and neighbouring areas. Establishing of a community centre and managing or co-operating with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the trust. And this is the dream of our Trust Board members.
Activities and celebrations
The trust is to represents the (members) residents of Manchester and neighbouring areas to celebrate various Hindu Social, Cultural and Religious festivals throughout the year including Saraswati puja, Bipattarini puja, Ganesh puja, Durga puja, Lakshmi puja, Kali puja and organising cultural activities such as Bengali New Year and other functions etc. |
